You found it. Push blocks to trap the cats — surround one on all four sides and it turns to cheese. Collect the cheese. Three lives.

Not every game on this site has a homepage card. Some things you have to find — this is one of them.

Built in the style of block-pushing puzzle games, a genre that traces back to Sokoban — a Japanese puzzle format from 1981 whose name literally translates to 'warehouse keeper.' The format is built on a deceptively narrow set of rules (push, don't pull, no taking moves back) that turns out to support enormous depth: every level is a small, solvable logic problem with exactly one correct sequence, and finding it is the entire reward. This is our take on it, hidden somewhere on the site rather than sitting on the homepage — which feels appropriate for a genre about quietly solving things nobody's watching you solve.

How to play

Push movable blocks around the grid to trap the roaming cats against walls or other blocks. Trap them all to clear the level.

Scoring

Scored on level completion and move efficiency — fewer moves to trap every cat scores higher.

Why play this?

If you found this one, you weren't supposed to be researching anyway — congratulations on the actual research.
