This tool calculates the end date of your probation period based on when you started and how long your probation lasts.
Probation periods are often quoted in months, which makes the exact end date less obvious than it sounds. This tool does the calendar maths and tells you the exact day, plus how many calendar and working days remain from today.
How we work it out
For week-based probations, we count forward by the exact number of days (weeks times 7, minus one day, since day one counts). For month-based probations, we go forward by the number of calendar months. Working days remaining excludes weekends only.

Does the start date count as day one of probation?
Yes. The probation period begins on your first day. If your contract specifies differently, adjust the start date by one day.
What happens at the end of the probation period?
Typically your employment continues under the full terms of your contract. Some employers issue a formal confirmation; others just let it pass. If you are unsure, check your contract or ask HR.
Can a probation period be extended?
Yes. If your employer extends your probation, enter the new end date manually by adjusting the length. Extensions must usually be agreed in writing.
