Very healthy. Either you're genuinely well or you're saving them up for something.

This tool tracks your remaining sick day allowance for the year and tells you whether your usage is ahead of, on, or behind pace based on how far through the year it currently is.

Useful for checking whether you have room for that long weekend, whether you're burning through your allowance too fast, or just for keeping track of what you've taken so far. The pace indicator compares your usage to where you would be if you spread your allowance evenly across the year.

How the pace works

We calculate what percentage of the year has passed, then compare that to what percentage of your allowance you have used. If you have used less than the year's progress, you are ahead of pace. If more, you are behind. "On pace" means the two are within half a day of each other.

Questions

Does this carry over unused days?

No. This is a simple within-year tracker. If your employer allows sick days to carry over, you would need to add those to your allowance total manually.

Is "behind pace" a good or bad thing?

Behind pace means you have used fewer sick days than the year's progress would suggest. That usually means you have been healthy or have not needed to use them, which is generally fine. It becomes relevant if you lose unused days at year end.

Is this storing my data anywhere?

No. Everything is calculated locally in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Taking a sick day? Make it count.
